Yamunotri by Helicopter — Same Day Darshan
Yamunotri normally requires a 6 km trek from Janki Chatti. For pilgrims who cannot trek but want the Goddess Yamuna's blessings at her temple, the helicopter option is the answer. The Kharsali helipad is about 500 metres from the temple. From the helipad, a gentle footpath (or pony, if needed) covers the distance in 10–15 minutes.
The Yamunotri experience is unique for one reason — the Surya Kund hot spring. This is where you cook rice and potatoes in cloth bags in the near-boiling water, then offer this cooked food to the goddess. It is a ritual you cannot replicate anywhere else on the circuit. The helicopter package includes full time at the temple to complete this properly.

Early pick-up from Dehradun. Drive to helipad (~3 hrs). Fly to Kharsali helipad (15 min). Walk 500 m to Yamunotri temple (or pony at own cost). Surya Kund prasad ritual — cook rice in hot spring. Divya Shila worship. Main temple darshan — Goddess Yamuna black marble idol + Ganga silver idol. Return to helipad. Return flight to Dehradun. Transfer to hotel/station/airport.
