By accessing and using FirstTrek's trekking services, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

FirstTrek provides trekking and adventure tourism services including:

• Trek planning and organization
• Professional guide services
• Accommodation and meal arrangements
• Transportation services
• Safety equipment and support
• Emergency response and evacuation

3. Booking and Payment

All trek bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. Payment terms are as follows:

• 50% advance payment required to confirm trek booking
• Remaining balance due 30 days before trek departure
• All payments are non-refundable unless specified otherwise
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice
• Additional charges may apply for special requirements

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation charges apply as follows:

• More than 30 days: 25% of total amount
• 15-30 days: 50% of total amount
• 7-14 days: 75% of total amount
• Less than 7 days: 100% of total amount
• No refund for no-shows or early departures

5. Health and Fitness Requirements

Participants must:

• Be in good physical health and fitness
• Have no medical conditions that could affect trekking
• Inform us of any medical conditions in advance
• Follow safety instructions from guides
• Carry necessary medications if required
• Meet minimum age requirements (18+ or with parental consent)

6. Safety and Risk

Trekking involves inherent risks. While we take all reasonable precautions:

• Participants acknowledge and accept these risks
• FirstTrek is not liable for personal injury or accidents
• Participants must follow safety guidelines
• Weather conditions may affect trek schedules
• Emergency evacuation costs are participant's responsibility
• Altitude sickness and other mountain-related risks exist

7. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

• Respect local customs and traditions
• Follow environmental guidelines and leave no trace
• Maintain group discipline and follow guide instructions
• Not consume alcohol during trekking hours
• Respect fellow trekkers and guides
• Follow designated trekking routes

8. Insurance

Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Personal accident coverage
• Baggage and equipment loss
• High-altitude trekking coverage

9. Force Majeure

FirstTrek is not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

• Natural disasters and extreme weather
• Government restrictions and permits
• Transportation delays
• Political unrest
• Mountain hazards and avalanches
• Forest fires and wildlife encounters

10. Limitation of Liability

FirstTrek's liability is limited to the amount paid for the trek. We are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Personal injury or death
• Loss of personal belongings
• Emotional distress
• Third-party actions
• Natural disasters and acts of God

11. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such processing.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and materials on our website are the property of FirstTrek and are protected by copyright laws.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Uttarakhand.

14. Changes to Terms

FirstTrek reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
