Teen Dham Yatra — Three Dhams in 10 Days

Some pilgrims choose to skip Gangotri on their first visit to the Char Dham circuit — the road to Gangotri adds 2–3 days to the total journey, and the 10-day window of many working professionals does not accommodate it. The Teen Dham Yatra covers Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath in a clean 10-day format from Haridwar, leaving Gangotri for a future dedicated Gangotri trip (perhaps combined with the Gaumukh trek).

The Yamunotri trek, the Kedarnath 20 km trek, and the road approach to Badrinath cover three very different types of pilgrimage experience in one journey — which is part of why this combination works well as a first Himalayan yatra for those new to the circuit.
