Panch Kedar Yatra

The Panch Kedar are five Shiva temples in the Garhwal Himalayas, each marking where a body part of Lord Shiva appeared. Completing all five is a powerful spiritual achievement.

The Five Kedars

• Kedarnath (3,583 m): The hump - most famous, requires 16 km trek
• Tungnath (3,680 m): The arms - highest Shiva temple, 3.5 km trek
• Rudranath (2,290 m): The face - difficult trek, remote location
• Madhyamaheshwar (3,497 m): The navel - 24 km trek from Ransi
• Kalpeshwar (2,200 m): The hair - only Kedar accessible year-round

Physical Demands

This is an extremely demanding pilgrimage involving multiple treks at high altitude. Only fit and experienced trekkers should attempt the complete circuit.
