Chopta sits at 2,680 metres in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district — roughly between Kedarnath and Badrinath on the circuit route. This package uses that geographic convenience to add a 2-day Chopta detour between the two dhams without significant backtracking.

Chopta is a high-altitude meadow covered in rhododendron and oak forest. The trek from Chopta to Tungnath (3,680 m) — the world's highest Shiva temple — is an additional 3 km from the meadow. From Tungnath, Chandrashila peak (4,130 m) is another 1 km and offers a 360-degree Himalayan panorama including Kedarnath, Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba.
