Char Dham Yatra with Hemkund Sahib Extension

Hemkund Sahib is located 14 km by trek from Govindghat, near Joshimath — the same town that serves as the staging point for Badrinath. Adding Hemkund Sahib to the Char Dham circuit therefore requires only a 2–3 day extension to the standard Badrinath leg, without backtracking significantly.

The lake at 4,329 metres is surrounded by seven mountain peaks. The Gurudwara built on its banks, dedicated to the Tenth Guru of the Sikhs, is one of the highest permanently inhabited religious sites in the world. The trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria (14 km) and then to Hemkund Sahib (6 km) is used by both Sikh pilgrims and those also visiting the adjacent Valley of Flowers National Park.

This 15-day package is for the pilgrim who wants to complete both the Hindu Char Dham circuit and the Hemkund Sahib yatra in a single journey — connecting two of India's most important pilgrimage traditions in the same Himalayan landscape.
