Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Kathgodam to Munsiyari
We meet at Kathgodam Railway Station in the early morning and begin our scenic drive towards Munsiyari, the gateway to the Johar Valley. The journey takes us through winding mountain roads, pine forests, and charming hill towns like Almora and Bageshwar. By evening, we arrive in Munsiyari, check into our guesthouse, and enjoy the first glimpse of the Panchachuli peaks glowing in the sunset. After dinner, we rest for the trek ahead.
Day 2: Munsiyari to Khaliya Top Campsite
After breakfast, we drive a short distance to Balanti Farm, the trek starting point. The trail climbs gradually through oak, pine, and rhododendron forests, with views improving as we ascend. By afternoon, we reach our campsite below Khaliya Top, surrounded by alpine meadows and Himalayan views. Evening tea, snacks, and a hot dinner follow before we sleep under a starry sky.
Day 3: Khaliya Top Summit (3,500 m) & Return to Munsiyari
We start early to reach Khaliya Top in time for spectacular 360° Himalayan views, including Panchachuli, Rajrambha, Hardeol, and Nanda Kot. In winter, the meadows are covered in snow, while in summer, they’re dotted with wildflowers. After spending time at the summit, we descend to Balanti Farm and drive back to Munsiyari for a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Munsiyari to Kathgodam
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathgodam, retracing the scenic mountain route. We reach by evening, marking the end of our Khaliya Top Trek with memories of meadows, snowfields, and panoramic Himalayan views.
