Mansa Devi Temple, perched atop Bilwa Parvat in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi, believed to fulfill the wishes of devoted pilgrims. As one of the Panch Tirth (Five Pilgrimages) in Haridwar, it holds significant religious importance.
Mansa Devi Temple, located atop Bilwa Parvat in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is one of the most sacred temples dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti. Known as a Siddh Peeth, it is believed that sincere prayers at this temple never go unanswered. The temple attracts millions of pilgrims every year, especially during Navratri and the Kanwar Mela.
Mansa Devi Temple was constructed between 1811 and 1815 by Maharaja Gopal Singh of Mani Majra. It stands on Bilwa Parvat, one of the Sidha Peeths in Haridwar, where it is believed that the heart and navel of Goddess Sati fell. The temple honors Goddess Mansa Devi, a manifestation of Shakti who emerged from the mind of Lord Shiva and is the sister of serpent king Vasuki. Devotees believe she grants their heartfelt wishes, which is why many tie sacred threads around the wish tree in the temple complex.
