George Everest's House, also known as Park Estate, was built in the early 1830s and served as the residence and laboratory of Sir George Everest, the Surveyor General of India (1830–1843). He supervised the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India, which helped map the subcontinent and led to the discovery of the world’s tallest peak—later named Mount Everest in his honor. Though now in ruins, the structure stands as a testament to colonial-era scientific exploration and mapping.
